New Playground at Franklin Park Zoo to open this summer!

Visitors of Boston’s historic Franklin Park Zoo will soon have another attraction to visit in the 72-acres that make up the zoo. Construction has begun on a new innovative 10,000 sq. foot playground that is set to open by late June/early July. The new addition, made possible by the Play 2 Dream Foundation, puts safety first and will be created on a rubberized surface making it accessible for children of all abilities. Complete with an animal themed playground it will be built next to Butterfly Landing and is set to include a variety of slides and climbers, cognitive interactive play panels, swings, as well as shaded areas and benches and picnic tables for families.

Visit the Franklin Park website to find out more information and to find out about the opening of the new park!
