Celebrating the Holidays With Macy’s

Macy’s, a brand that I always associate with Christmas, has some fun holiday events coming up.

From now through December 24th, Macy’s will donate $1, up to $1million, to the Make a Wish Foundation for every letter to Santa dropped off in the Macy’s Santa Mailbox.

Also, Macy’s in Downtown Crossing will officially light their Christmas Tree for the season on Friday, November 25th at 5pm. Join special guests Joey McIntyre, Sony Music recording artist Jasmine V, and Tedy Bruschi. After performances by Joey and Jasmine, Santa will flip the switch to light up the Christmas Tree. Starting at 6pm, head into the store to meet the special guests and get autographs.

This month-long annual celebration of Cape Cod’s rich maritime heritage and history has been designated one of American Bus Association’s Top 100 Events in North America. More than 75 events will be presented the 2012 Maritime Days, from lighthouse and walking tours, nautical art exhibits and lectures on maritime lore to boat-building exhibits and kayaking excursions. The event will be topped off June 9-10 with the 11th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Festival on the Hyannis waterfront. Come watch a naturalist feed the animals at the Nature Center. Learn more about what some turtles eat, where some amphibians live, and other interesting things about the animals in the EcoZone Museum. Free with admission.
