Activities for Kids This Veteran’s Day in the Boston Area

Home with the kids this Friday – Veteran’s Day?  Here are a few things to do:

Discovery Museums in Acton: Meet an Author! Come hear author Beth Raisner Glass read Blue Ribbon Dad and then create your own Blue Ribbon for your Dad or other special person in your life! Blue Ribbon Dad is a rhyming picture book for ages 2-8 and is suitable for every day of the year, not just Father’s Day. 10am. Free with admission.

New England Aquarium: Aqua Kids Family Day. Throughout the morning, you can hear stories, create art projects and see Live Animal Presentations in the Curious George Discovery Corner, located on the first floor of the Aquarium. Join us for an underwater adventure. Family Days are open to all Aquarium visitors, and no registration is required. 10am-12pm

Boston Children’s Museum: The Nutcracker Boston Ballet Day. Enjoy a sampling of music, dance, costumes, and hands-on, behind the scenes activities from the Boston Ballet.  11am-4pm.

Pottery Painting at Barefoot Books.  50% off studio fee for items in the daily theme of “Stars”.   Drop in 11am-5pm.
