A Review of the 2011 Life is Good Festival

This past weekend, Life is Good hosted their second annual Life is Good Festival at Prowse Farm in Canton, MA.  Loads of families braved the muggy weather to celebrate the good life and have fun together in a relaxed, positive environment.  The festival, a fundraiser for kids with life threatening illnesses, raised over $1M.

We attended on Sunday – the second day of the festival.  We planned to see both the Laurie Berkner Band and the Imagination Movers – but my kids seemed to prefer just walking around the festival.  They especially enjoyed the kids’ obstacle courses and races, as well as visiting the various sponsors’ booths.  They participated in the apple toss at the Green Mountain Naturals area (while I sipped some delicious Hot Apple Cider), played a game at the Prius V area (while I drooled over the new Prius V), and stuffed their little faces full of Chobani Champions and Stonyfield yogurt.

The entertainment was great also.  We did get them to sit and watch the Imagination Movers, who were really awesome, if a bit loud. We also caught the Ryan Montbleau Band -  a group I’d never heard before, and Brandi Carlisle on the larger stages.
