Boston’s certainly a baseball town, but let’s face it – tickets to our hometown team can be hard to find and pricey. If you are looking to introduce your kids to baseball, without the expense, consider going to a minor league game. There are plenty of options, from the Brockton Rox, to the Pawtucket Red Sox, to the Lowell Spinners.
The Brockton Rox play at Campanelli Field in Brockton, MA. The Rox are members of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The 2011 season starts at the end of May, and tickets go on sale in May. Single-game ticket prices are $5-$15 each.
The Pawtucket Red Sox, the AAA affiliate for the Boston Red Sox, have already started their season. They play at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI, and single-game tickets range from $5-$11.
The Lowell Spinners, the A affiliate for the Boston Red Sox, play at LeLacheur Park. The season starts in June, and tickets for single games range from $6-$10.For more things to do in Boston with kids, check out our Boston event calendar, which is always updated!
