April School Vacation Week at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts

Are you looking for activities to entertain the kids during spring break? This school vacation week, visit the Boston Museum of Fine Arts with the kids. Not only can you catch the special exhibition: Chihuly: Through the Looking Glass, but your children can also participate in free (with paying adult admission) activities from Tuesday, April 19th through Friday, April 22nd.

Free activities include the following:

Story Hour at 10:30am
Family Tours from 10:30am-noon, every 15 minutes
Performances (1pm and 2:30pm)
Art-making activities, including a cellophane stained glass project

This month-long annual celebration of Cape Cod’s rich maritime heritage and history has been designated one of American Bus Association’s Top 100 Events in North America. More than 75 events will be presented the 2012 Maritime Days, from lighthouse and walking tours, nautical art exhibits and lectures on maritime lore to boat-building exhibits and kayaking excursions. The event will be topped off June 9-10 with the 11th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Festival on the Hyannis waterfront. Come watch a naturalist feed the animals at the Nature Center. Learn more about what some turtles eat, where some amphibians live, and other interesting things about the animals in the EcoZone Museum. Free with admission.
