Family-Friendly Boston

The Providence Bruins at Home at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center

Providence_BruinsIt’s no secret that sporting events can be cost-prohibitive for most families. Last weekend, we discovered an affordable and exciting way to enjoy the professional sport of hockey. Tickets to the Providence Bruins can be had for under $20 a ticket. Parking was easy and affordable at a flat event rate of $10. My five- and four-year-old sons happily walked the block over to the stadium.

Once the game started, I was surprised by the party atmosphere and the amount of team pride the crowd displayed. It was impossible to not get swept up in the chants and cheers. A Providence Bruins game was the perfect venue to introduce our sons to the sport of hockey and to professional sports in general. The team offers many theme nights with many guests receiving souvenirs, like hats, t-shirts, and lip balms.
