Spring Fling at the Children’s Museum in Easton

It’s Opening Day for the outdoor Wild Place! Let’s celebrate the great outdoors-learn about creating your own family garden and how important community gardens are to us.

Going Green in Your Backyard
1:00 p.m.& 2:30 p.m.
An intriguing and interactive program brought to you by Animal World Experience of Stoughton. Many animals have a hard time surviving in the average backyard. Kids will have the chance meet live animals that they may encounter in their backyard, and explore ways to help them survive. Learn how to make a birdhouse out of 100% recycled materials and other environmentally friendly projects that children can implement in their own yard.

Plus…
• Plant a starter herb garden with Miss Candy.
• Interactive exhibit from the Natural Resources Trust of Easton
• Learn about organic gardening and meet the folks from Easton’s new CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) – Langwater Farm!
• Our guest of honor (for real!) will be Mother Nature herself, who will share lots of interesting facts with you.
•Check out the farming and landscaping vehicles that do the work! Vehicles will be visiting throughout the day from McNamara Farms, The Town of Easton, All Season Tree Service and more.
